The Problem We Saw
In 2023, our founders were running e-commerce operations across the Middle East. They noticed a pattern: customers preferred WhatsApp and Instagram for shopping, but businesses struggled to keep up.
- Response times were slow—customers moved on before getting answers
- Language barriers blocked sales—Arabic-speaking customers couldn't get help in their language
- Inventory mismatches led to frustrated customers and lost orders
- Manual order processing created delays and errors
- After-hours inquiries went unanswered, losing potential sales
Existing solutions were either too expensive, too complex, or didn't understand the nuances of messaging commerce—especially in bilingual markets like the GCC.
The Solution We Built
We set out to create an AI sales agent that felt native to WhatsApp and Instagram—one that could:
- Respond in under 60 seconds, 24/7, in English and Arabic
- Understand voice notes and text messages with equal accuracy
- Sync inventory from Shopify, WordPress, or CSV files in real-time
- Create orders automatically and notify store owners instantly
- Learn from policy PDFs so answers stay consistent with your brand
- Track customer preferences and retarget abandoned carts
After months of development and testing with early merchants, Towasal launched in 2024 with Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans designed to scale from small stores to enterprises.
Why "Towasal"?
"Towasal" (تواصل) means "communication" or "connection" in Arabic. We chose this name because:
- It reflects our mission to connect businesses with customers through messaging
- It honors the bilingual nature of our platform—serving both Arabic and English speakers
- It represents the seamless flow of commerce conversations we enable
Every feature we build—from voice notes to inventory sync—is designed to make communication feel natural, fast, and trustworthy.
